Best of Scotland
Depart for Glasgow (approximate journey time is seven hours). Enroute visit Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple, one of the largest functioning Hindu temples in Europe. After darshan, we then drive north to Scotland. In between, stop for lunch and visit Gretna Green, the UK’s most famous place to get married and home of the world famous Iron Forgeries. On arrival, enjoy the sights of Glasgow, which will include Glasgow Cathedral, Georges Square, University of Glasgow and the City Chambers. Enjoy carefully prepared mouth-watering dinner before you go to bed.
Dinner
egin the Best of Scotland Tour, driving through Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Optionally, take a Loch Lomond cruise to admire its breathtaking beauty. Journey past the majestic Glencoe, the site of the 1692 massacre, before reaching Fort William for a lunch break. Continue to the Nevis Mountain Range, Britain's highest peak, where you can ride the gondola (cable car) to the summit for panoramic views (weather permitting). Visit Neptune’s Staircase, the longest staircase lock in Britain, and stop at the Commando Memorial, honoring World War II British forces. Continuing our journey, enjoy the spectacular view of Loch Ness to explore the legendary myths and history of the monster Nessie are explored.
Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, we drive to the dramatic Isle of Skye, past the five sisters of Kintail mountains in the scenic northwest of Highlands. Enroute we stop at the most sought photographic castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle. Next we will cross over the sea and onto the Isle of Skye, via the most famous Skye Bridge.
Arrive in Portree, the island’s charming capital, Free time to explore the town on your own, before setting off on a scenic tour of Skye’s breathtaking landscapes, including the iconic Old Man of Storr, Lealt Falls and Kilt Rock. Return to the mainland and overnight stay.
Breakfast, Dinner
After breakfast, we depart to Central Scotland via Loch Laggan through the Grampian Mountains, an area known as ‘Monarch of the Glen Country’ after the popular BBC series. Visit Dalwhinnie, home to one of Scotland's highest whisky distilleries, and towards Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's most important castles, known for its historic battles, medieval architecture, and breathtaking views from its hilltop location. The castle has witnessed numerous sieges and was a residence for Scottish royalty, including Mary, Queen of Scots. Continue to Falkirk Wheel, the world’s only rotating boat lift, an incredible feat of modern engineering that connects the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal, allowing boats to be effortlessly lifted by 79 feet. Visit the Kelpies Monument, where two imposing 30-meter-high horse-head sculptures, inspired by Scottish folklore, pay tribute to Scotland’s industrial and equestrian heritage. Arrive in Glasgow for a hearty dinner and an overnight stay, reminiscing about the day’s rich historical and cultural experiences.

After breakfast, travel to Edinburgh, Scotland's vibrant capital, for a city orientation tour. Visit the iconic Edinburgh Castle, home to the Portcullis Gate, Mons Meg, fine state apartments, and the ancient Scottish crown jewels. Walk along the Royal Mile, passing landmarks such as St Giles’ Cathedral, Castle Hill, Lawn market, High Street, Cannon gate, and Abbey Strand. Visit Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, and admire the modern Scottish Parliament Building with its distinctive architecture. Continue to Calton Hill, home to the National Monument and Nelson Monument, offering breath-taking views of the city. In the afternoon, depart for London, marking the end of your memorable Scotland adventure.
