Day 01 : ARRIVE BAGDOGRA / NEW JALPAIGURI * ON TO GANGTOK (135 KMS/ APPROX. 4 HOUR DRIVE )

Welcome to 'Hills of East' tour. On arrival at airport in Bagdogra or railway station in New Jalpaiguri, you will be met by our local representative who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok. On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 02 : IN GANGTOK

Today, post breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering Rumtek Monastery, Jhakri Water Fall, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Flower Show.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 03 : IN GANGTOK * EXCURSION TO TSHANGU LAKE AND BABA MANDIR MEMORIAL

After breakfast, in the morning, proceed for an excursion to Tshangu Lake - situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft. Later, visit the Baba Mandir Memorial. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok.

Day 04 : ON TO PELLING (116 KMS / APPROX. 5 -6 HOURS DRIVE)

Today, transfer to Pelling. On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 05 : ON TO DARJEELING (115 KMS / APPROX. 5-6 HOURS DRIVE)

This morning, proceed for a half day sightseeing of Pelling covering Pelling Monastery, Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi Hydro Project(outer view)and Khechepadi Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts). Thereafter, transfer to Darjeeling (7380 Ft / 2250 Mts) - one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world, also known as the 'Queen of the Hills'. On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 06 : IN DARJEELING

Early morning, proceed on a tour to Tiger Hills (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
After breakfast, go for a half-day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) and Tea Estate. (panoramic view).

Day 07 : DEPART DARJEELING * ONTO BAGDOGRA / NEW JALPAIGURI (94 KMS / APPROX. 3 HOUR DRIVE)

Today, bid farewell to your 'Hills of East' tour as you are transferred to airport in Bagdogra / Railway station in New Jalpaiguri for your onward journey.
